Montezuma Expeditions

Transfers/Shuttle: Montezuma Expeditions is one of the original tour and transfer agencies in the area. They have three offices, in Montezuma, Santa Teresa, and Alajuela, and are known for their excellent shuttle service to other popular towns in Costa Rica, such as Jaco, Tamarindo, Arenal, Manuel Antonio, etc. And of course probably their most popular destination is the airport in San Jose.

Airport Transfer + Hotel: Their best service is the hotel+airport transfer combination, in which they will take you to a hotel near the airport, where you can spend one night, and then they include your taxi to the airport the next morning for your flight. It works similarly in reverse, so that if you first arrive in San Jose too late to make it to Montezuma or Santa Teresa on the same day, you can arrange for them to pick you up at the airport, take you to the hotel, and then they’ll pick you up in the morning for transport to Montezuma. This is really an excellent way to go for first time travelers to the Montezuma area, making the entire process very easy and stress-free.

Scuba Diving: Montezuma Expeditions also offer scuba diving with the local dive team, including one, two, and three tank dives, or a full 4-day scuba certification course. The area’s waters are very rich with all kinds of sea life, including big animals such as whale sharks, manta rays, sea turtles, dolphins, etc. A scuba expedition is also lots of fun because of the boat ride to get there, since this region’s shoreline is so spectacular.
