Montezuma has become a very popular real estate destination. Almost everyone who visits can imagine
living here because of its great natural beauty and the tranquilo lifestyle. While many other areas of Costa Rica tend to
get older retirees moving there, Montezuma tends to have younger couples in their thirties, forties, and fifties, people
who want to either retire while they're still young, or are planning on opening various businesses. There are also others
who telecommute. With the low cost of living in Costa Rica, it's much easier to pay the bills.
Pura Vida Sunsets - Finally, great affordable lots in the Montezuma area! Priced from $25,000 - $50,000, many of these lots have beautiful mountain views, and include access to a community salt-water pool, organic orchards and gardens, power, water, etc. Many have already been sold before the subdivision was even completed, so act quickly to reserve lot if this is the type of property you're looking for. I also have a property for sale in the hills behind Santa Teresa. It's a great deal, at $225,000 for 1.8 hectares, with ocean views and spectacular valley views, several building sites, a stream with ancient trees, mango trees, and a 10-12 minute drive to the beaches of either Playa Hermosa and Santa Teresa. To my knowledge, it's the cheapest ocean view lot in the Malpais/Santa Teresa area, by "per m2" price. If you're wanting something a bit quieter than down in town, and are willing to drive 10 minutes to the beach, then it's a great deal. It's cheap because the building sites are fairly small, you will have to dig your own well (ask me for a list of drillers) and electricity is not on the property yet (but it's only about 300 meters away.)
